Combining the best features of European and American music education, the Westchester School of Music is now accepting registrations for Summer and Fall 2022 classes at its new location at 875 Mamaroneck Avenue in Mamaroneck. The new Westchester School of Music facilities, conveniently located between New Rochelle and Rye, adjacent to Larchmont, Scarsdale, Harrison and White Plains, provide a superb setting for enjoyable music lessons.

We offer professional instruction to children and adults in all instruments as well as theory, composition and voice. We have appropriate educators to help children with learning disabilities. All types of music are taught at MSW: from classical to contemporary, rock, jazz, folk… We believe that music should be part of every child’s school curriculum. It helps develop memory, coordination, rigorous study habits and discipline that will help in other areas of study. Music helps kids build self-esteem and creativity and keeps them happy and away from screens, computers and other devices.

Since its inception in 1983, MSW has grown into one of Westchester’s top musical institutions and has taught thousands of students from the local community and over 50 other countries. Its international faculty includes more than 35 dedicated professors, all eminent artists. Studying music in a university setting gives students the advantage of having access to a large and professional faculty. It gives them the opportunity to learn according to a progressive program and to be evaluated periodically according to school standards. In addition, a school gives the opportunity to play in ensembles, which encourages cooperation and develops musical sensitivity.

We hope you will come and visit us in our new premises!
