“Must see” guitar show with vintage instruments and masterclasses for Govan
Next month, a guitar show with an incredible program of musical attractions will take place in the southern district of the city.
Described as a “must-see” for guitarists of all backgrounds and abilities, the event will showcase a selection of vintage instruments, collectibles and art at the Pearce Institute in Govan on Saturday November 12.

A series of special guests, including award-winning guitarist Chris Buck and bassist Chris Glen, will take the stage to offer Q&A sessions and masterclasses to provide insight into working in the music industry.
The action-packed event is organized by social enterprise 12 Guitars which is based in Harmony Row in Govan and works to recycle unwanted guitars for young people across Scotland.

12 Guitars co-founder Gerry Thorogood said: “We think it’s high time Glasgow had its own Guitar Show.
“So instead of complaining, we’re doing something about it and partnering with Kenny’s Music to host the first one.”
Alex Marten, Managing Director of Kenny’s Music, added: “We are delighted to be part of the inaugural Glasgow Guitar Show.
